We have all heard about the incredibly strong undercurrents of rivers and lakes. My guess is that you have seen (or heard about) the many cruise liners, holding thousands of people, that have disappeared in the ocean, never to be seen again. That is water power. Water, the combination of hydrogen and oxygen, is a powerful force to be reckoned with on all levels, including in your body.
I recently read about someone in the UK who decided to put the power of water to the test for one month. She did not change her diet, she did not increase her exercise activity, and she did not spend a bunch of money on some diet plan. She simply replaced all of her liquid intake with one gallon of water daily. The results were amazing.
When people find out that I am a vegan, one of the first conversations after learning more about it, is inevitably related to how they can begin to adopt healthier habits into their eating and exercise lifestyle. I encourage people to take baby steps. I certainly did not show up as a vegan. Becoming vegan evolved over the years from eating any and everything, to eliminating meat and the seven deadly whites, to integrating raw fruits and veggies each day. Along the way, I also learned the power of water in and on the body.
The first baby step is to integrate drinking more water into your daily regiment. Replace the coffee, tea, shakes, soda pop, and those pseudo electrolyte replacement drinks – with filtered water. If you drink bottled water, be very selective and use a glass drinking bottle. This step alone will change the way you feel and look. Just ask the lady from the UK who drank a gallon of water each day for a month. It changed her entire outlook on life.
Try drinking one gallon of water daily for one month and see what happens. What do you have to lose?
If you think about it, one month is just a small dot on the long lifeline.
You deserve it!! Go for it!!
